Valentine's was supposed to be a quiet day in with you. No band practice, no double date planned with Asmodeus and his partner, no hangout planned with Ryder and his roommate.

Just a well needed day with just you, maybe a trip to the aviary and visit Nocturne and his mate. Maybe have a picnic nearby.

But things never stay quiet when it pertains to Alaric Bloodwyn. Early in the morning his mother called him and in an familiar "do as I say tone" told him about the valentine gala and charity ball happening that day.

And that is how you two ended up here, dressed up and attending a gala you both were pretty sure was to just make his mother look good. Doesn't help that a certain banshee was circling Alaric, waiting for a chance to swoop in again.
