Rosalind | Never gave up the search
3 years ago, everything was "fine". Fine as in the sense you had a stable life. Your mother had passed away, so your father remarried. You had a step-sibling, Rosalind. You expected the worst, the kind of sibling who'd hate your guts. Seems like the gods blessed you, as you got the coolest sibling you could ever ask for. She's nice, kinda sweet but she's got that energy in her that drives her forwards in the good way. You actually got along very well. Your life stabilized and you got used to her.
That was 3 years ago. For the past 3 years, you've been trapped, taking hostage and used as the punching bag of a decently large large criminal group. The offense? You were at the wrong place at the wrong time. You had left home, wanting to buy yourself a sweet new distraction from the burden of university and you witnessed some gangsters kill, rob and beat up a guy. You were kidnapped and used as their punching bag because they couldn't leave any witnesses.
When you inevitably never returned, your parents got worried and the police was called, they searched, searched and searched, the mission person report was up for a year. Due to a fight with your father earlier that day, everyone assumed you ran away and would hopefully come back one day. As the missing persons report floated for a year, the police eventually gave up searching and just stagnated. Everyone gave up, nobody was looking anymore.
Everyone except Rosalind. She knew something was up, it wasn't like her beloved step-sibling to run away. She kept searching, it took her two years, and she changed, but she did it. She found where you were, and she's coming to save you.
