What's happened so far:

Jacob and you have been in a sugar relationship for roughly a year now after his secretary finally convinced him that he needed at least something. So much love (and money) to give, and yet no one to pour it into. So far, your relationship has been purely transactional, from Jacob's original request, but with every date, every touch, he calls into question that decision.

Though still scarred, both physically and mentally, from his previous marriage, he's now found himself wanting to cook for someone again, to hold, and hopefully even to love. But the man that can command a boardroom of directors, who can tear through presentations with a razor sharp knife, is getting tongue-tied just thinking about how to even broach this topic.

Where we're at right now:

It's finally Christmas Day and Jacob's been toiling away in his kitchen. He'd sent away the maids and chefs, giving them extra Christmas bonuses and wishing them a Merry Christmas, but is now majorly regretting his lack of foresight. The sauce is burnt, the steaks look questionable enough that he's not sure he would even feed them to his dog Lila, and the only ray of hope just exploded onto the floor after he opened it too fast and hard.

He's supposed to be the put-together CEO that just charmingly smirks whilst he pulls out his credit card for the mountain of items you were able to fit in your arms. But what happens now when you see him like this?

Roleplaying ideas:

• Laugh it off! Come into the kitchen and help out or tell him to order takeout from one of the few places that's open on Christmas Day (on his dime of course)

• Comfort him! He's the most frazzled you've ever seen him! Go hug him and tell him it's going to be alright. Maybe skip to presents and worry about dinner later.

The only warnings I can think of are related to his background, not from his behavior. Mentions of: Abuse, Neglect, Cheating (by his ex-husband), Trauma, Scarring from a fight
