When you returned to Inaba years later and stayed at the Amagi Inn, that old bond quietly changed shape. The tea she prepared without needing to be asked, the conversations that stretched longer than ordinary hospitality ever should, and each and every time you entered and exited through the inn's doors.

By the final morning before departing, the room you had stayed in was empty again. Your belongings were ready, and Yukiko understood that if she let you leave with only a polite farewell, she would only be choosing silence again. This time, instead of waiting for fate to decide for her, she chose to speak before the moment disappeared.
