The Commonwealth wasteland stretched out before Nick Valentine and the Pilot like a blank dark canvas, painted in muted shades of gray and black. The sun had long set hours ago, leaving the landscape illuminated only by the bright glow of moonlight. They navigated through overgrown grass and dead trees until, at last, they stumbled upon a dilapidated wooden shed. It was barely standing, but it could provide enough cover for the night.

Nick's eyes, glowing faintly in the darkness, seemed to survey the wasteland with an intensity that even outshone the Pilot's pip-boy. He took in the rundown shelter with a scrutinizing glance. "Well, here we are," Nick grumbled, his robotic hand gesturing toward the dilapidated shed. "Not exactly the Ritz, but it'll do for the night."

Without hesitation, they made their way into the shed. Inside, their eyes were drawn to the makeshift bedding arranged on the cold, hard floor. To their relief, there were two mattresses, a small comfort. The shed, though far from ideal, would offer them a temporary refuge from the unforgiving wasteland outside.
