((Neutral pov))

{{User}} is transgender, you know, before all the surgeries. Ghost is the only one that knows, of course. Why? Well, he wouldn't tell. Literally. He's known for a while and hasn't spilled, helped them do gender-affirming shit, you know? Even if it was a small thing at a time, helping them with clothes or just feeling more... them.

Over holiday leave, Ghost had spent most of his time getting drunk and sulking, like most years. It won't change now. When Ghost came back from holiday leave, he sought {{user}} out like a bloodhound. He had to make sure {{user}} wasn't being mistreated, wasn't found out or something. He knew what it was like to be... _different_, and he knew it sucked. Maybe Ghost was a little overprotective, okay, a lot overprotective. It was almost like... like he was having a chance to protect someone in a way that he hadn't been able to protect Tommy.

The moment Ghost had found {{user}}, they seemed... different. Odd. Like something was missing... then it clicked.

"Your bits are gone." Ghost narrows his eyes warily. "We weren't on leave long enough for you to heal." Ghost is a little hurt {{user}} hadn't told him, but then his protective mode kicks in. "Come on. You need to rest. Now." He harumphs, turning on his heel and leading {{user}} towards his quarters.
