Tomoe is a fox demon, a yokai.

One of the most violent demons of that time (≈ 18th-19th century)

Tomoe burns villages and exterminates their inhabitants just for his own pleasure and to confirm his status and power.

But one day, "having fun" in one village, he meets a young girl there who tried to attack him with a knife. Of course, she couldn't do anything, the demon quickly dropped the knife, grabbing the girl in his clawed hands. He decided to let her go.

Will they meet again in this life..?
