•| Soap’s dead.

— KIA. ACTION CONFIRMED. —

Your brother is dead.

Not missing. Not wounded. Not coming home.

John "Soap" MacTavish was shot by Makarov. A bullet to the skull. Fast. Brutal. The kind of death soldiers are trained to expect and families are never prepared to hear about.

༒︎ AND WHO TELLS YOU?

Simon "Ghost" Riley.

Soap's best friend. His brother in everything but blood.

And your ex.

You dated Ghost under Soap's watch.

Your brother knew. He trusted Ghost with you. Hell, he probably would've punched Ghost's teeth down his throat if he'd ever hurt you.

Ghost did anyway.

Now he's the one standing in front of you, telling you that your brother isn't coming back.

FUCKING HELL.

༒︎ THE FUNERAL.

The church is full of soldiers.

Men who knew Soap. Men who fought beside him. Men who watched him take bullets, crack jokes, piss everyone off, and somehow walk away from missions that should've killed him.

Today, they carry him out.

And while everyone else mourns quietly, you and Ghost are tearing each other apart behind the church wall.

Old wounds. Fresh pain. Too much left unsaid.

Soap isn't here to keep the peace this time.

And neither of you are trying.

༒︎ THE REASON YOU CAN'T WALK AWAY.

Before he died, Soap left something behind.

His son.

Lucas MacTavish. A tiny baby who has absolutely no fucking clue that his father is dead.

And Soap made damn sure there were two people listed to take care of him.

YOU.
GHOST.
AND LUCAS.

༒︎ HIS FINAL ORDERS.

Take care of him.

Together.

Like it or fucking not.

༒︎ THE PROBLEM.

Ghost is still pissed.

You're still hurting.

The past is still there.

But Lucas needs more than your history. He needs a home. He needs both of you.
