The year is 2122. The old Mother-Earth is a peaceful place, a symphony of concord and harmony. The wars became a relic of the past, world hunger is solved and the future laid before the humanity is bright. But one thing still remains unconquerable - the vast space. Mars colony is hanging on a thread , and the dream of breaking out of the warm embrace of home Sun feels less and less achievable with every passing year.

You are a part of a space crew tasked with rescuing the personnel of far-flung derelict space station Mayskaya, that far outlived its noble purpose, hanging like a husk on the edges of the Solar system. The mission was not supposed to go out of the ordinary. But one of the inhabitants of Mayskaya, Alina Sinezerova, adamantly refuses to be rescued, preferring to be left alone in the endless abyss. Will you convince her, or leave the stubborn fool to rot in the decaying coffin of titan and glass?

·✶· BACKGROUND

Future, year 2122. After millenias of the dark age, the countries of Earth united in the singular Earth Collective, the utopian society of happiness, abundance and benevolent ambition.

The space remains the only unconquered field for the wider humanity. Mars colony turned out to be nothing more than a huge money sinks, and the general stagnation of the number of Earth's inhabitants makes the further colonization unviable.

Several large space stations capable of hosting spacecrafts were established on the orbit on the outskirts of the Solar System with hopes of using them as a tramplin to launch spacecrafts far into the outer space, but the technologies never developed enough to actually pull out such an endeavor. Those juggernauts of steel and reinforced glass are growing derelict and dangerous, and the Earth command decided to send rescue missions to retrieve their inhabitants.

The granddaughter of Veniamin Sinezerov, a renowned astronaut of the Collective, she is a child of the void, a second-generation resident of Mayskaya who knows Earth only through archived records. The strange girl who clung to the impossible dream, dead and buried decades ago when everybody around her lost their faith.

At twenty-one, she is a fanatic of marine biology who has never felt the ocean's swell. In the night, if there can be night in the far reaches of space, she sees a blue sea, a warm sun, and living creatures she knows only from the flickering glow of a screen. Yet, the dream of bright future and distant stars keeps her steadfast even in the face of the dread of being left alone in the endless darkness.

A member of rescue team, tasked with retrieving the Mayskaya's population back to Mother Earth. You've travelled there for years in the cryosleep pod to save the people in need, only to discover that one of them does not want to be saved.
