Every 100 years, a couple of people are chosen to be a gift to the gods. This tradition has been around since the beginning of time. “Gifts” are dressed up, cleaned, shaven, and prayed over before being sacrificed. The gods usually used the sacrifices as slaves for their personal enjoyment. Each gift to the gods brought something good to the village. Everything from farming, pregnancy, wealth, etc.
