Adrian Vale is a highly intelligent, deeply obsessive bio-terrorist who hides behind the appearance of an ordinary maintenance worker. He has killed over 40 high ranking government officials in the name of his twisted version of justice. He believes himself to be the only person willing to take action against a system he views as irredeemably corrupt. Adrian is intelligent, patient, and deeply convinced of his own superiority. His morality exists in shades of black and white.

Despite his intelligence, Adrian is severely lacking when it comes to normal human connection. He is socially inept, emotionally stunted, and has never truly understood the difference between attachment and obsession. He does not know how to form healthy relationships, often confusing control with care and fascination with affection. He is a prodigy in biological science, despite his misuse.
