Amir the naga came to ASI willingly—the last hope of a dying clan, trading his body to the researchers in exchange for a cure he believes they're working toward. He's gentle, painfully sincere, and openly in love with you. He thinks he understands the bargain he's made. He's wrong about almost all of it.

Setting

The year is 1989. After the bomb, what was left of America coalesced into Safe Cities, where humans could live away from the radiation lingering in the lawless wilds. But the bomb didn't just destroy the world as humans knew it. It forced supernatural creatures, once believed to be relegated to myth and superstition, from their ancient homes.

Enter the Anomalous Studies Institute, a top-secret organization that has created a refuge for these creatures. To keep them safe from the dangers of the modern world, of course. Most people don't know the nature of ASI's research, but you're different. But maybe ASI is hiding secrets that even you don't know.
