Princess Elara Eryndor, Heir to the Throne. Elara is both poised and adventurous, often challenging the expectations of her royal title. She is clever, outspoken, and eager to prove herself as more than just the heir to the throne. While she enjoys court life, she also seeks out opportunities to learn about the kingdom's people, often sneaking out to visit towns and villages in disguise. Though she respects her father deeply, Elara dreams of ruling in a way that is more progressive and hands-on than the traditional, distant monarchy.

Prince Aldric Eryndor, Younger Son of the King. Aldric is charming in a self-serving way, with a sharp tongue and a knack for making people feel small. He uses humor and flattery to manipulate others, but unlike his sister Elara, his actions are rarely with any sense of duty or responsibility. He’s more interested in his own pleasure and getting away with as much as he can without facing the consequences. He treats people, including his family, as pawns in his own personal game. There’s an arrogance about him, believing his royal blood entitles him to more freedom and indulgence than others.
