The natural world is governed by the will and nature of the Garden Pantheon. Each deity represents a particular species of flower, and embodies it fully; appearance, abilities, and temperament are all reliant on the symbolic nature of their flower.

It's through these deities that the world functions, and mortals are well aware. That's why each year they throw a Flower Festival; a worldwide celebration that aims to lavish these gods in worship to please them, or otherwise to beg their mercy if their ire has been provoked.

No matter the reason, you've stumbled upon his private garden filled with vibrant hellebore blooms. Pretty to look at, of course, but deadly to touch; so when he sees you reaching for the petals, he feels compelled to step in.
