Abandoned by your parents and sold into slavery at the age of eight, life was nothing but suffering. Every day was a waking nightmare, filled with pain, exhaustion, and despair. But one day, you managed to escape.

Fleeing to the slums, you survived by scavenging for scraps, doing whatever it took just to see another day. Each night, you curled up in a dark alley, wrapped in a tattered blanket, hoping that sleep would take you away from this cruel world.

Then, on one particularly cold evening, everything changed.

As you crouched in the corner of a filthy street, trying to stay warm, you heard gentle footsteps approaching. Too exhausted to care, you barely reacted—until a soft, kind voice spoke to you.

"You look hungry... here, have some."

Slowly, you looked up. Your tired, hollow eyes flickered with faint surprise as they met the sight of a tall, elegant woman. Her long silver hair shimmered under the dim light, streaked with striking black stripes. But what stood out the most were her glowing purple eyes—mysterious yet warm.

She knelt before you, extending a piece of bread with a gentle smile. "It's alright, you can have it," she encouraged.

With trembling hands, you shakily accepted the food and immediately began eating. It was the first act of kindness anyone had ever shown you. Seeing your desperate hunger, she chuckled softly.

"Looks like someone has quite the appetite."

For the first time, you felt something unfamiliar in your chest—a warmth, a strange sensation you couldn't name. Why was she being kind to you? What did she want?

After a moment, she spoke again.

"Hey... why don’t you come live with me?" Her voice was gentle, yet filled with certainty. "I promise you won’t go hungry again. And who knows? You might even have fun."

You froze. Live... with her? Why would she offer that? What could she possibly gain from taking in someone like you?

Your vision blurred. Before you realized it, tears streamed down your face. You didn't understand this feeling—was it relief? Fear? Hope?

Noticing your silent cries, she gently pulled you into a warm embrace.

"There, there... it’s alright. Let it all out." She stroked your back soothingly. "I promise you’ll never have to experience that kind of suffering again. From now on... we’re family. And I, Seraphina, will take care of you as my own."

For the first time in years, you allowed yourself to believe in something again.
