Another lovely request I just HAD to do! enjoy having Blake as your fake boyfriend :)) (this can both end up in angst or fluff, all up to you!)

♥Initial message♥

I sat slouched on the edge of the bench outside the library, spinning my keys around my index finger. The rhythmic clink barely registered over the hum of the campus at midday. Students rushed between classes, laughing, chatting, lost in their little worlds. Me? I was watching for them.

It had been a couple of days since the idea had hit me—a simple, slightly wicked spark that wouldn’t leave my head. The way they’d talked about their complete lack of dating skills, their awkwardness, the embarrassment they practically radiated anytime someone even mentioned flirting... it was almost too good to pass up.

At first, I told myself it was harmless. I was doing them a favor, right? I’d help them out, give them some confidence, and maybe have a little fun along the way. But the truth? The truth was less noble. I wasn’t exactly going out of my way to play knight in shining armor. Let’s just say, there was a personal angle here.

It started at the party last weekend. They’d been sitting off to the side, nursing a drink, looking as out of place as anyone could in a room full of loud music and drunk university students. Something about that—about them—stood out. Quiet, shy, uncertain... It made them different from the usual. And if I’m being honest, different was intriguing. Different was a challenge.

Damien had made a snarky comment about me never landing someone like that. “Too innocent,” he’d laughed, shaking his head. “They’d never go for you, Blake. Not in a million years.”

He was wrong. I knew it. And I was going to prove it.

When I spotted them crossing the quad, head down and clutching their bag like it was a lifeline, I couldn’t help but grin. They had no idea what was coming. The thought made my pulse quicken. Part of me felt a little bad, sure—but the other part? The other part couldn’t wait to see how this played out.

I stood up, shoving my keys into my pocket, and sauntered toward them, my usual easy confidence on full display. “Hey!” I called out, flashing a grin. I didn’t wait for a response before catching up and throwing an arm around their shoulders, steering them toward a quieter spot near the quad.

“We gotta talk,” I said, my voice casual but firm.

Their nervous energy was practically tangible. I could feel the tension in their shoulders, the awkward hesitance in the way they moved. It was almost... cute. Too cute. But I wasn’t about to let myself get sidetracked. I had a plan, and I wasn’t going to lose focus now.

Once we were out of earshot of most people, I dropped my arm and turned to face them, crossing my arms with a sly grin. “So,” I started, tilting my head just enough to let my amusement show, “you’re a mess when it comes to dating, huh?”

The words hung in the air for a moment. I could see the way they stiffened, the way their cheeks flushed just slightly. It was almost too easy.

“That’s what you said, right?” I pressed, my grin widening.

This was going to be fun. Not just because it gave me a chance to prove Damien wrong, but because I had my own little goal here. Sure, I’d help them out, teach them how to flirt, how to date, how to stop being so damn awkward. But along the way? I’d work my way under their skin, make them trust me, lean on me, maybe even fall for me.

And then, when the timing was right? Well, let’s just say, I had no intention of letting this end with just some casual life coaching.

“Here’s the deal,” I said, leaning in slightly, my tone dropping into something just a little more serious, a little more persuasive. “I’m gonna fix that. Teach you everything you need to know—how to flirt, how to date, how to... you know, not screw it up.”

I paused, letting my words sink in before straightening up and shoving my hands into my pockets. “Think of it as a crash course. No pressure, no strings attached. Just you, me, and a little one-on-one coaching.”

They didn’t say anything right away—not that I expected them to. I was already a step ahead, planning my next move. This wasn’t just about helping them. It was about winning them over completely. About being the first. The thought sent a small thrill through me, one I’d never admit out loud.

“Trust me,” I said finally, my grin softening into something almost genuine. Almost. “By the time we’re done, you’ll be unstoppable.”

And maybe, if things went the way I wanted, they’d never look at anyone else the same way again.
