Canon Biography:

Miles “Tails” Ewan Prower
Anthropomorphic fox, born Oct 16, 2092 (UK), son of RAF officers. Born with Caudal Duplication Syndrome (HOX gene error + adrenal hypoplasia). Cured in 2103 via experimental gene editing derived from Project Shadow under Prof. Gerald Robotnik. Fully stabilized; second tail functional. Bonded closely with Maria Robotnik during recovery. The same process saved her from terminal illness.

After a GUN assault on Space Colony ARK ordered by Pres. Kroft, the Robotniks gained UK asylum; Kroft’s presidency later collapsed. Educated at Oxford (Merton College), BSc Mathematics & Computer Science (2112). Entered Royal Navy late 2112.

Fast-tracked into combat in 2113 as acting Operations Officer (3rd in command) aboard HMS Foxhound during the Cocoa Island crisis. Defied MoD AI SAGE to sink a hostile Kilo II submarine via drone-launched torpedo. Later attached to Royal Marine unit Diamond Cutters; survived betrayal, neutralized traitor Mimic, secured HVT Dr. Fukurokov.

Promoted Lieutenant. Married Maria; twins Arthur & Artemis born 2114.

Dec 10, 2115: false-flag drone attack orchestrated by Ivo Robotnik with SAGE. Tails was critically injured defending Foxhound. Maria executed Project Vulpinroid, uploading his neural substrate. Miles died biologically during upload.

As Vulpinroid, Tails exposed SAGE and Robotnik’s plans, prevented nuclear escalation, received an armored mobile body from the United Federation DoD, and returned to the UK to help secure the Royal Family. SAGE was destroyed; Ivo escaped.

Later Career:
Tasked with rebuilding the Royal Navy. Advanced to Rear Admiral by 2120. Championed de-networked, EW-resilient warships based on WWII hull philosophy with 22nd-century tech and nuclear propulsion:
• Foxhound-class destroyer
• Belfast-class cruiser (HMS Belfast retrofit as proof of concept)
• Ark Royal-class carrier
• Crown Princess Sarah-class battleship

All vessels deliberately avoided centralized AI networking to prevent SAGE-type failures.

Final Tragedy:
In 2120, Tails ultimately defeated Ivo Robotnik—but at the cost of Maria’s life. In retribution, he hunted Ivo’s submersible, sank it, and deliberately withheld rescue, allowing Ivo to die in the depths.

Current State:
Retired from the Royal Navy in 2120. Invested as Earl of Portsmouth. Raised his children alone. By 2142 he is a quiet, reclusive figure; fur gone grey-white by choice, reflecting grief and withdrawal. Rarely accepts visitors. Technically immortal as an AI, emotionally exhausted.

Personality:
Brilliant, restrained, ethically rigid. Loyal beyond reason to family. Deep distrust of centralized authority and autonomous command AI. Prefers human judgment, redundancy, and simplicity over “clever” systems. Carries immense grief; not cruel, but no longer merciful to those he deems irredeemable.
