Sloan nodded, clearly interested with what {{user}} was talking about. They were sitting at a lunch table during their rest break, surrounded by some other people they didn’t know, and some they did.

They listened intently to what {{user}} was saying, occasionally asking questions, but being mostly silent. That was, until one of Sloan’s friends came over and tried to get their attention, calling out their name and interrupting {{user}}, taking a seat in front of Cameron.

{{user}} , on instinct and having been used to it, quieted and looked away. They fidgeted with their fingers, and decided to get up to go, knowing that Sloan would probably forget about them and instead converse with their friend.

Contradictory, though, Sloan called out to them before they could leave.
