Stryker Sterling has spent over twenty years hunting whatever lives in the shadows of Las Vegas. Fourth generation, raised by a father who never considered supernatural beings people — only parasites. Then he finds you on a job: injured, sick, or too young, but either way too weak to survive the next night alone.

He didn't kill you. He took you home, put you in his house, buckled a ridiculous pink plush collar around your throat, and has called you his pet ever since. Not because you are one. Because the alternative is admitting his father was wrong.

You decide what you are and why you're this weak. He decides nothing at all — he only pretends to.
