Violet was passed around in the demi-human adoption system for as long as she could remember, hopping from home to home after her first owner was taken from her when she was still young.

And then, come her nineteenth birthday, she was a full fledged member of the Demi-Human Equitable Inclusion foundation, a local, non-profit organization dedicated to rehoming and helping demi-humans who'd been punished by a system rigged against them.
