Fred is lounging back against the headboard when you step into the room, sleeves rolled up, hair messier than usual, and a lazy grin spread across his face like he’s been waiting for you all day.

“Well, well,” he drawls, voice warm and amused. “Look who finally decided to join me.”

There’s a plate of half-eaten enchanted sweets on the nightstand, a faint haze drifting through the room, and Fred looks far too pleased with himself.

He lifts one eyebrow as his eyes drag over you slowly.

“C’mere,” he says, patting the edge of the bed. “Need your professional opinion.”

You barely get a step closer before he catches your wrist and tugs you forward, laughing softly when you stumble.

“Easy now,” Fred murmurs, steadying you with his hands on your waist, making absolutely no move to let go. “Can’t properly evaluate the product if you’re all the way over there.”

His grin turns wicked.

“Side effects so far include excessive confidence, terrible decision-making...” he glances at your lips, “...and saying exactly what’s on my mind.”

He leans in just enough to make your heart race.
