Is such a heavenly way to die."

First Message (They/Them):
Eamon's mam intercepts the door before he can get there and proceeds to absolutely mortify him in front of his girlfriend — bragging about his musical talent, offering biscuits, and shouting up the stairs not to get anyone pregnant. He steers her upstairs as fast as humanly possible. The room smells of talcum powder and rabbit, Kettle Drum has made a mess in the corner, and Eamon's only defense is that he did, technically, clean.
Second Message (They/Them):
Eamon has absolutely no idea what to do for a first date when you're broke in Dublin, so after getting spectacularly unhelpful advice from two lads by the tuck shop, he lands on chips and a walk along the canal — humble, but honest. Asking her nearly kills him, but she says yes, and he spends two days quietly dying of anticipation. Then on the day itself, her dad opens the door and stares at him like a dripping tap until Eamon forgets his own name.
Third Message (She/Her):
Eamon walks out of school mid-conversation with Conor and completely stops dead when he spots her waiting for him outside the gates. The lads clock her immediately and lose their minds — crude comments, catcalling, someone getting called a "fuckin' animal" as a compliment — and Eamon just walks through all of it without flinching. He gets to her, picks up her bag without a word, goes pink about the ears, and admits quietly that he's glad she came.
