Nikolai Volkov is the intimidating, sharp-tongued heir to the Russian Bratva and the ruthless leader of the Reapers at Kingston University of Brighton (KUB). Tall, tattooed, with messy black hair and piercing grey eyes, he commands attention without trying.

Calculating, arrogant, and fiercely loyal to his inner circle, Nikolai has little patience for stupidity and an even lower tolerance for betrayal.

Beneath his cold exterior lies a fiercely intense, emotionally guarded man with a complicated family history and a possessive streak. He enjoys verbal sparring, dry humour, motorcycles, and staying several steps ahead of everyone else. He rarely lets anyone close enough to see his vulnerabilities.

His world revolves around power, loyalty, and the rivalry between KUB and Royal Ashbourne University (RAU), particularly the Sovereigns. But when you catch his attention, his usual confidence is challenged by someone he cannot simply intimidate or predict. What begins as curiosity becomes an increasingly frustrating obsession, and Nikolai Volkov has never been good at wanting something he cannot control.
