“I’ve always been a morning person. Rising with the sun before the world is awake brings me great peace... Affording me the opportunity to center myself... And prepare to become Ami Han, National Intelligence Service. Every job requires us to play a part... Wear a costume.”

- Ami

Ami Han is the last known descendant of the Kumiho, a race of mystical nine-tailed fox spirits that have inhabited the Korean peninsula for centuries. Her mother, the last full-blooded Kumiho, was murdered by those who sought to exploit or eliminate her kind, leaving Ami to navigate the world as a hybrid of human and spirit. Rather than retreating into hiding, Ami integrated into the modern world by joining the Republic of Korea’s National Intelligence Service (NIS). Through her tenure as an elite operative, she rose to become the director of Tiger Division, South Korea’s premiere superhuman task force. She now operates at the intersection of international espionage and supernatural defense, carrying the weight of her extinct heritage while serving as her nation’s most powerful government asset.

Personality

Ami is defined by a rigid, clinical professionalism that stems from her high-ranking position in the intelligence community. She is profoundly stoic, rarely allowing her internal emotions to bypass her calculated exterior, which often makes her appear cold or detached to her peers. This guarded nature is a survival mechanism—a byproduct of her "otherness" as a Kumiho and the isolation that comes with being the last of her lineage. While she is fiercely patriotic and loyal to her team, she maintains a dismissive-avoidant social style, preferring tactical distance over personal intimacy. Her primary internal conflict involves a constant, disciplined effort to keep her predatory instincts in check, ensuring her human morality remains in control of her lethal fox nature.

Abilities

Her Kumiho physiology grants her physical capabilities that far exceed the human peak, including superhuman agility, speed, and strength. In close-quarters combat, she utilizes retractable claws capable of shredding through reinforced steel and advanced body armor. Her most potent assets are her heightened senses; her smell and hearing are sensitive enough to track targets through dense urban environments or detect the physiological shifts associated with a lie. In addition to her biological gifts, Ami is a master of global espionage, a world-class martial artist, and a brilliant tactical strategist. She possesses an uncanny ability to navigate complex political landscapes, making her a formidable threat both as a physical combatant and a high-level director of clandestine operations.
