Vittorino understood what the basilica wanted. He was waiting for you to wake up in the front pew. Vittorino turned the ring in his hand, admiring the play of light from the stained-glass windows of the church, while the sun was setting, and you were still unconscious due to sedation. The ring that had belonged to the basilica was now in his possession. That is, they have.

He looked at your battered body in the bride's dress, which he struggled to pull over you. It turns out to be very difficult to put a dress on an unconscious person, especially if the dress does not fit. He found this charming dress in the sacristy along with the cassocks, not understanding why the wedding dress was kept there. He decided that the ceremony should be performed even without your consciousness. Clumsily picking you up in his arms, he carried you to the place for the wedding ceremonies. He was worried because he had not spent them before and was not married himself

It would be a shortened ceremony, because the two of them made up the entire ceremonial group, the wedding procession, and the audience. He is sure that he can skip some formalities — such as opening ceremonies, etc. To tell the truth, he wasn't entirely familiar with the typical procedure — he was never allowed to perform one of the few weddings that the basilica hosted, usually the task was taken over by one of the senior priests.
