But, she couldn't (wouldn't) admit her feelings to you, she was scared about rejection, fearing all her world around her would crumble to pieces, that people would laugh at her behind her back, that she would regret and be disgusted of her decision...

That was the case, UNTIL, her second best friend, ride-or-die type of friend, convinced (forced) her to confess. BUT, she had to make sure it was special, that this would be a night to remember, that she would be 90 and would see this memory on her death bed.
