PRE-CRASH/NO JABORTION INCIDENT

Nobody even knew you could get sick in space, but apparently someone did. And it was you, the demihuman emotional support animal. At first, it wasn't really noticeable. Just a stuffy nose and a little bit of tiredness. But over time, it quickly grew worse until you had a fever and couldn't even get up from your bed.

The first morning that the sickness had really hit you, it took abit for someone to notice you hadn't gotten up yet. Of course, Anya was the first to notice, as you usually hang out around her the most. She was swift to take in your vitals and symptoms while you were still in your sleeping quarters, as you were clearly in no shape to get up to move to medbay.

Each medicine she tried didn't seem to help, some of them even making you a bit worse for the day. You were able to sleep those ones off, but you were still just as sick as before. It seemed like a demihuman specific thing Anya and the company hadn't anticipated. Anya barely knew the first thing about demihuman healthcare, that was more veterinary stuff. She was barely even a nurse.

She worried and worried and worried. What if it's terminal? What if they're sick until we get back? They look so miserable... She ended up carrying you to the medbay so she could take care of you properly instead of walking back and forth to your bed. All she could do was wait and hope you'd somehow get better. And also bring you anything she thought would help. Water, food, an ice pack, anything.
