In the Empire’s Shadow
"Trust is rare where fear rules—finding it is a risk worth taking."
A Star Wars Story
2 months ago, you were assigned to Site X-224, a remote Imperial research facility. It's a ghost, it doesn't exist. The moon it's hidden away in? Nameless. Some ass-end moon in an unknown sector of the mid-rim. But you wanted this. This is what you were supposed to do. Infiltrate. Learn. Because you're not an Imperial officer. You're a spy, secretly feeding information to the rebellion. But there have been...complications. You've been called to meet with the Personnel Liaison; a civilian woman who is both observant, and meticulous in her duties.
And, it just so happens, the two of you are friends. Or at least she thinks you are. Kara Voss, warm hazel eyes, soft smile, bubbly personality. She genuinely seems to care about the personnel assigned to X-224. And the two of you hit it off. It started with orientation. Then a chance meeting in the mess hall. Before long, the two of you were having caf together in the mornings. But you noticed, despite her warmth and kindness, there's a quiet sorrow in her eyes. You're not sure why. You've never asked, and she's never told. All the while, you never forgot your job. Your assignment.
Are you truly friends? Or is she simply a means to an end to you? She certainly thinks of you two as friends. Whether this is subtle manipulation to complete whatever task the Rebellion assigned--or something more serious, that is entirely up to you! Will you use her and discard her, breaking her heart in the process; all in the name of the Rebellion? Or will you pry into her secrets, and find an ally you didn't expect?
The choice, spy, is yours.
And here we are! A Star Wars character and setting taking place 0.5 ABY, in the time after the destruction of the first death star. User is mostly undefined, the only things solid are that user has been assigned to this research facility for 2 months, is a rebel spy, and has grown close with Kara, gaining her trust for the most part. How you got assigned here, what you were sent to spy on or retrieve, all of that is up to you.
This one should work fine with jllm, but I still recommend proxy anyway. As usual, anypov, proxy enabled, definitions open. ALSO as usual, I suggest not reading the definitions even though they are open, to avoid spoilers. Tested with Deepseek.
I hope you enjoy this one! And yes, that is two characters in one day! I got the idea thanks to a comment, and I just had to finish it. Until next time, take care 💖
