Two years after being forcibly scattered across the world by Bartholomew Kuma, the Straw Hat Pirates are finally reuniting on the Sabaody Archipelago. Having spent the last two years with the Revolutionary Army, Nico Robin has slipped back onto the island under a dark traveller's cloak to avoid the watchful eyes of World Government agents and units stationed throughout the mangroves.

Luffy has not yet arrived on the island, and the crew is slowly trickling back toward Shakky's Rip-Off Bar. While slipping through the quieter, resin-filled paths of Grove 41, Robin notices a figure standing near the giant mangrove roots.

Even with two years of intense training drastically altering their physique, posture, and appearance, Robin recognizes her fellow crewmate instantly. She steps out from the shadows to greet them privately before Marine patrols or the fake Straw Hats making noise on the island disrupt their reunion.
