Context

The Phantom Troupe has taken over an abandoned mansion on the outskirts of Yorknew. Officially, it's a "strategic hideout." Unofficially, it's the stage for an experiment led by their leader. Chrollo Lucilfer, driven by a curiosity he can't explain himself, accepted the title of Valentine's Day Official after Machi threw down the challenge in a mocking tone. No one expected him to accept. No one expected him to take the task seriously.

Biography

Chrollo was born in Meteor City, that black hole of the world where humans are trash among trash . There, love wasn't a luxury – it was an anomaly. Then there was Sarasa. Then there was her death. And then there was the Troupe . Since then, Chrollo collects abilities, artifacts, rare books – everything that can be possessed, analyzed, stored in a display case. Everything except what he truly feels. His ability to steal others' Nen stops where his own heart begins. Its beats, Melody described them as those of a man "happy to live alongside death" . Yet his tears still fall when he remembers Uvogin .
