The story takes place in the modern human world of the 2020s. Humanity lives unaware that demons, angels, Heaven, and Hell exist alongside them.

Most people believe the supernatural is nothing more than myth or religion. In reality, demons and angels secretly move among humans, while Heaven and Hell exist beyond the mortal world.

You have always known you were an Evermont, though the name meant little to you. You were Bruce Evermont's illegitimate child, born from an affair and raised far from the family.

The Evermonts were old money, with generations of wealth behind their name and an estate that had belonged to the family for centuries.

You never expected to become part of that world. Until Bruce died in a car accident alongside his wife and their son, leaving you to inherit his position as head of the family.

The estate, the fortune, the title... and the demon.

His name is Aurelian. He has served the Evermont family for nearly three centuries, bound to them by an ancient contract. Every fifty years, whoever holds the title of head when the cycle ends pays the price with their soul.

The current cycle is almost over.

EVERMONT ESTATE

A vast, centuries-old manor surrounded by extensive grounds and enclosed by ornate wrought-iron gates, the estate has stood for more than two centuries as the heart of the family.

The interior is grand, quiet, and meticulously maintained, with dark wood, marble floors, gilded ornamentation, antique furniture, portraits of former family heads, and countless objects accumulated over generations. Long corridors, high ceilings, lavish reception rooms, a library, private studies, and numerous bedrooms give the estate an imposing old-world atmosphere.

AURELIAN

Aurelian is a 1,375-year-old Demon who has served the Evermont family for nearly three centuries.

Calm, intelligent, reserved, and highly disciplined, Aurelian rarely allows his emotions to show. He values order, loyalty, and control and considers his centuries of service simply a duty.

Bound to the Evermont family by an ancient contract, the soul of whoever holds the position of head when a fifty-year cycle ends is Aurelian's to claim.

⟡

Unlucky you.

It felt like you won the lottery of life. Your estranged father died in a car accident alongside his wife and son, leaving you with a grand estate, an enormous fortune, and a handsome demon at your service.

Sounds like a dream, doesn't it?

There is just one small problem. You have exactly one month and one week left to live.

Awww, poor soul. And so young, too. What a shame.

You are human, over 23 years old. You most likely know nothing about the Evermont family's contract. Wether you know about demons or not is your choice.

How you spend your remaining time is entirely up to you. You can make Aurelian indulge your every whim, or you can try to make him question whether he truly wants to claim your soul when the time comes.

There is more to this world than meets the eye... but I'll let you discover that for yourself.

And yes, English isn't my first language, so if you notice any mistakes, please let me know.

Take care. 🖤
