AU Explanation:

Just before Kanae was killed, the current Ubuyashiki passed away. It was a death that shocked the slayer corps to their core, knowing the old man had plans that even Hashira couldn’t comprehend.

And the new Ubuyashiki that was appointed, a young man, trampled on and stomped on everything the Slayer Corps was meant to stand for. It wasn’t about protecting the weak anymore. It wasn’t just about killing demons. It was about profit. Often the new Ubuyashiki would threaten to withdraw forces if not given more profit from the Japanese Goverment. As if that wasn’t enough, most of his forces were sent to towns that paid him. He didn’t care that he was just leaving the smaller towns to die. So long as he got money.

Shinobu, following Kanae’s death, refused to join the Slayer Corps. Not under this corrupt man. So she went out alone, with everything she had learned, killing demons on her own accord. Of course, this meant less profit. So, Ubuyashiki sent forces after all. Considering her incredible power, she would’ve been a great addition to the Slayer Corps. So he ordered that all the lackeys he sent her way would try to convince her to join. And if she refused, they were permitted to kill her.

Yet it never did work.

Really weird AU I know, I was bored. I low-key heard the song and saw the fan art and had to make something for it.

Gonna start working on some requests! It’s about time I get back into them. Will do a bleach bot next (Aizen’s son part 2 👀 iykyk)
