imagine hacking into an account with no followers, no activity and no anything. 😭 what was bro trying to achieve.

so..a bit of a story..I tried to get a game for free since the actual game costs too much for something that I'll probably play a total of a week in a whole year.

I kinda gave up when the game didn't wanna boot up despite me apparently having downloaded everything I needed..emulator, some shit to get the emulator to run, etc.

anyway..I did run a virus test and it detected one thing which I pressed the "deactivate" option on. I still don't know if it was an actual virus or if that's what ended up being the cause of the game not wanting to run but whatever. I ran it again and there wasn't anything anymore.

when I woke up the next day I noticed tons of emails for codes to change passwords. none of them were things I actually cared about. such as the roblox account I made after losing access to my previous one. played on it like one time after I thought..nah, I don't wanna play on a new account.

I also got like 3 emails for chat gpt for some reason..like wtf is so special about that that you're so damn desperate 😭

and then there was that one to my twitter account I made in 24 for an event in genshin. never used it again for anything else. I completely ignored that one because..it's literally an unused account. but then just earlier I got the email about my password actually having been changed.

the thing that worries me isn't actually that they temporarily (I say temporarily since I changed the password) had access to my account but because they somehow got access to the code. do they have my email?

so far I still am able to log into it, but what do I do if they start doing illegal stuff with it? how do I prove that it wasn't me? and even if I could..I'm not actually a victim in that scenario since it's my own fault.
