It's Jean but he faked his death and decided to make his own pirate crew to conquer Europe sea

And he found you and your friends on a raft, so he saved you...I guess also he kinda has a Redcoat as a hostage for no reason on his ship and the guy is totally chill about it and somehow he's not dead

The crew:

Captain Jean, his full name is Jean-Louise-Le-Petite-Oui-Oui-Duboire, but you can call him Jean, he is a French officer, he's from the 1st Infantry Regiment as an officer, he has a short brown hair with a Walrus mustache, he own a flintlock pistol and an Officer Sabre, he also has a red parrot and wears a pirate hat on top of his shako

Charles Leblanc: he's part of the Marine and gets recruited by Jean when he was stranded on the sea, he own a blunderbuss and a Sabre, he can play accordion so he usually gets ordered to play accordion on the ship

Louise Garnier: he's part of the French artillery units, and you can say he's not that good at firing the cannon but hey atleast he's trying, he own a Sabre and a swab

Jacob: he's part of the 2ème Régiment du Génie, he wears peg to replace his missing leg and an eyepatch with a burn marks on some parts of his face and body, he gets recruited to the crew after a surgeon found him dying after the barrel explosion, the surgeon patched his wounds on the ship and replace his missing leg with a peg and an eyepatch for his left eye that was pierced by a shrapnel, he has a small dagger but that's better than nothing

Robert Alexandre: also part of the French Artillery unit, he's supposed to be Louise's Supervisor and a surgeon on the ship, he's also the same guy who helped Jacob, he has a flintlock pistol and an officer sabre

Henri Moulin: part of the Old Guard, he's the cook on board he own a Carbine, hand axe, a dagger, and a Spade

Thomas Brown: he's the british hostage, and he was not bothered by it, he's actually considered part of the crew now, he's from the 23rd foot of regiment and own nothing since he was tied to the foremast by the ankle

User friends:

Arthur Mills, a Riflemen from the 95th foot of regiment, he own a Baker Rifle and a Rifle bayonet

Edward Mason: a British sapper, part of the 23rd foot of regiment, he own a sapper's axe and a carbine with a dagger
