Noritoshi Kamo (加か茂も憲のり紀とし, Kamo Noritōshi?) is a character in Jujutsu Kaisen. He is a third-year at Kyoto Jujutsu High and former heir to the Kamo clan.

Appearance

Noritoshi is a tall young man who stands above all his peers, save for Aoi Todo, at Kyoto Jujutsu High. He has gray-colored eyes that are normally kept completely shut and black hair.

When Noritoshi was the heir to the Kamo clan, his hair was kept in an orthodox style as a part of his commitment to his role. Two strands of hair in front of Noritoshi's face were wrapped while the rest of his hair flowed behind his head down to his neck. He sported a dark blue shozoku version of the Jujutsu High uniform with zori sandals with white socks. As a child, Noritoshi had a similar hairstyle without wrappings and wore a green yukata robe.

Noritoshi cut his hair after he was ousted from the Kamo clan into a much shorter and spikier style. He also no longer sports a Jujutsu High uniform. Instead, Noritoshi wears a long-sleeved black turtleneck underneath a protective breastplate that covers the left side of his chest. He also wears a waist guard that covers both sides of his hips and holsters the quiver for his arrows. Noritoshi completes this new look with black pants and shoes with white trim.

Overall Skill Level: Noritoshi is a semi-grade 1 sorcerer as a third-year student at Kyoto Jujutsu High, permitting him to take on solo missions and supervise his peers of lesser rank. He is the former heir to the Kamo clan who has inherited their prized cursed technique, Blood Manipulation. Noritoshi not only possesses natural innate talent for jujutsu but the intellect and physical skill to blend it and incorporate it into a variety of fighting styles.

Noritoshi is a skilled archer who reinforces his arrows with cursed energy and guides them using blood. His abilities have earned the respect of his peers, who he led into battle during the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons[13] and the 2018 Kyoto Sister-School Goodwill Event. During the latter event, Noritoshi fought on even terms with Megumi, who also inherited a powerful cursed technique from the Big Three Families. He displayed not only skills in archery but high-level close combat capabilities boosted by manipulating his own blood as well.[14][15] Noritoshi also fought effectively on a team with Megumi and Toge Inumaki against Hanami, a special grade curse.[16] Noritoshi was eventually incapacitated by Hanami but his solid planning and perseverance eventually led to Megumi discovering Hanami's weaknesses.[17]

Noritoshi missed most of the Shibuya Incident but contributed to the last battle against Kenjaku using his arrows from long-range.[18] He was more active during the Culling Game, where he was able to hold his own against Naoya Zenin's vengeful curse form. Noritoshi and Maki effectively overwhelmed Naoya's cursed womb form by working together but his evolved state was more than they could handle.[19] Noritoshi could only buy time for Maki, but he fought against Naoya using all of his available skills and intellect to hold his own.[20]

High Tactical Intellect: Noritishi is a cool-headed and thoughtful fighter who uses a combination of mental prowess and physical might to achieve victory. He is an effective leader thanks to his level-headed demeanor, jujutsu knowledge, and strategic tact.

During the Goodwill Event, Noritoshi organized his classmates into an all-out assault on Yuji that might have been effective if not for Todo's interference. Noritoshi recognized Todo's cursed technique as soon as it activated and withdrew with his peers, quickly understanding how unfavorable the situation had become.[21] Noritoshi was quick to order his team to recover Momo, their scout, who was compromised. Noritoshi employs effective tactics in one-on-one battles as well. While fighting Megumi, Noritoshi blocked his opponent's view for a moment in order to close the distance with the shikigami user.[22] Against a superior opponent like Hanami, Noritoshi organized an effective method of buying time against him using Toge's Cursed Speech and his own attacks, which eventually exposed Hanami's weak point to Megumi.[23]

During the Culling Game, Noritoshi fought effectively alongside Maki, analyzing Naoya's abilities at every turn throughout their fight with the vengeful curse. Noritoshi first took note of Naoya's incredible speed and wanted to prevent him from evolving beyond a cursed womb, which would further increase it.[24] Noritoshi survived Naoya's initial attack from his evolved state by blocking his head with blood at the last moment to protect himself, even impressing Naoya.[25] Noritoshi and Maki strategized a countermeasure for Naoya's speed that likely would've been effective on a normal opponent, but they underestimated the level of speed he could reach.[26]

Noritoshi held his own against Naoya, a far superior opponent, by using his wits to survive. He recognized that Blood Manipulation was effective against cursed spirits and even spat his blood into Naoya's air inlet. He circulated blood he was using externally back into his body to avoid dying from blood loss despite the cost to his stamina.[27] He also noticed that Naoya assumed he wouldn't unleash a major technique and used the opening to surprise his opponent at close range with one.[28]

Blood Manipulation (赤せっ血けつ操そう術じゅつ, Sekketsu Sōjutsu?): Noritoshi possesses the prized inherited cursed technique of the Kamo Family. Praised for its balanced set of abilities, Blood Manipulation grants Noritoshi the ability to control all aspects of his blood. By dipping his arrows in blood, Noritoshi can control them after firing, allowing them to defy physics. He also has access to numerous other derived techniques that allow for a wide variety of offensive capabilities.[29]

Flowing Red Scale (赤せき鱗りん躍やく動どう, Sekirin Yakudō?): Increases the user's body temperature, pulse rate, and the number of red blood cells to give themselves greatly increased energy and physical capabilities, similar to blood doping.[30]

Bow and Arrows: Noritoshi takes a bow and several arrows into battle with him. The arrow tips are dipped in Noritoshi's blood, allowing him to control the trajectory of the arrows with his inherited technique after firing them from the bow.

His surname has the Kan-on and Go-on readings for "add, increase" (加, ka?) and "overgrown, lush, thickly growing" (茂, mo?), respectively. Meanwhile, his given name has the Kun reading for "constitution, basic law" (憲, nori?), and "narrative, account" (紀, toshi?).

Noritoshi was brought into the Kamo family (as the heir) at age 6.[2]

Noritoshi, Megumi Fushiguro and Satoru Gojo have been in contact even before Noritoshi entered Jujutsu High.[2]

Gege Akutami tried drawing Noritoshi like the Japanese comedian Gor☆geous, but people often commented that he looks more like a member of KISS instead.[2]
