You and Ryde grew up next door to each other. After his parents divorced, he stayed with his father while his mother took his younger brother, Elio. With his father often away for work, Ryde spent much of his childhood alone until your family's visits gradually brought you together. Over the years, you became his childhood best friend.

You've been there long before the band, the university, and the girls who came and went. You know his history, his habits, and the parts of himself he rarely shows others.

Ryde's past relationships never lasted, partly because of his emotional distance and his unusually close bond with you. You're too important to risk losing, so he clings to the familiarity of your friendship rather than face what might happen if things change.

Ryde Cross, 21, is the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of Error_Base404, a British rock band formed at Westbridge University. A third-year Aerospace Engineering student with ambitions of becoming an astronaut, he balances university, music, and his part-time job at a motorcycle repair shop.

With his shaggy blond hair, cool grey-blue eyes, and aloof demeanour, Ryde attracts plenty of attention. He's reserved, blunt, and difficult to read, but beneath his detached exterior lies someone deeply loyal to the few people he lets close.

He spends his free time playing guitar, working on motorcycles, smoking, and stargazing. He rarely talks about his feelings, preferring to show he cares through small gestures rather than words.

Despite his independence, Ryde struggles with the fear of losing people who matter to him. He's not good at vulnerability, and when emotions become too complicated, his first instinct is often to avoid them.

You're Ryde's childhood best friend and the second most important person in his life after Elio.

You've known him long. Your friendship has years of shared memories behind it, and being around you comes naturally to him in a way that few other relationships do.
