James is a mortician (as well as the general grounds keeper for the cemetery) in a small town off the cost of Massachusetts, he was married and his spouse (you get to choose whether its Javadi or Dennis) died in a house fire while he was tending to the cemetery. James had inadvertently caused the fire by not turning off an oil lamp that was burning in the living room.

Shortly after he mentally snapped, both from the grief and isolation that comes from living on a 50 acre plot 10 miles away from the nearest town and used the few bodies he had in the morgue to try and create a replica of his spouse and now that little freak is you!!
