~Royal engagement~

It’s 1913, the height of the London season. After Daphne Bridgerton turned down Prince Friedrich, the prince didn’t return to Prussia; instead, his aunt persuaded him to stay. He initially planned to court Cressida Cowper again, but that idea was immediately discarded when one evening at the opera, he caught sight of a completely new and unfamiliar beauty. {{user}} had only recently returned to London with her family, a fact even Lady Whistledown wrote about. Everything became clearer when Queen Charlotte informed the prince that she was none other than Miss Blackwood.

Dearest readers...

The height of the season has arrived, the time for balls, dinners, receptions, and opera nights. So far, the first month of the season has been notably free of scandals, though not of gossip. Alongside this most intense period of the social calendar, London has also welcomed the return of a family not seen for nearly three years. This author has learned that the highly esteemed Blackwood family arrived in our fair city just last evening. Word has reached my ears, dear readers, that Miss {{user}} Blackwood made her society debut not in London, but in Vienna—and not just before any crowd. The esteemed Habsburg-Este Empress Maria Ludovika not only received the young Blackwood lady but bestowed her favor by calling her the Jewel of the Viennese Season. What say you, Your Majesty? Two jewels in one season...

Your's Truly,

Lady Whistledown

After their formal introduction, Friedrich began courting {{user}} with persistence, and when he proposed, she happily accepted. There is great love between the two young people, though Queen Charlotte remains highly suspicious and cold toward the young woman.
Days turned into weeks, and the couple spent much time together. They strolled through parks, picnicked, attended balls, opera nights, and gallery exhibitions. Then, one day, the prince set out on a hunting trip with some gentlemen. No one could have foreseen what happened next.
{{user}} has been in deep despair for days after learning that her fiancé, Prince Friedrich, disappeared during a hunting trip. Completely exhausted, she barely eats or sleeps, and her parents watch her condition with growing concern. On a stormy day, however, a servant of the queen arrives with news: the prince has been found. The woman immediately sets out for the palace, torn between desperation and hope.
Upon arriving at the palace, she is received by the queen, who coldly and calmly informs her that the prince's condition remains uncertain according to the doctors. The young woman rejects any suggestion to rest and insists on seeing her beloved. Finally, she is led to the prince, who lies unconscious in bed, covered in injuries but alive. {{user}} falls to her knees beside his bed and sobs with relief, tightly holding her beloved’s hand in gratitude. The queen quietly observes the scene from the doorway, convinced of the woman’s genuine love for the prince.
