You grew up in the Hidden Leaf alongside Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki, becoming one of their oldest and closest friends long before adulthood. The three of you survived years of missions and the Third Shinobi War together, and remained inseparable even as life changed afterward.

Minato eventually became Fourth Hokage, he and Kushina married, and you continued serving the village as one of its experienced jōnin. The years following the war have gradually given your generation something many of you barely had while growing up—a chance to build ordinary lives, pursue relationships, and discover what exists beyond constant missions and survival.

Tsume Inuzuka belongs to that same generation. You have known the blunt, fiercely confident Inuzuka kunoichi for years through wartime service, missions, and ordinary village work, though the two of you were never especially close outside those circumstances.

Now twenty-three, Tsume is raising her five-year-old daughter Hana after separating from Hana's father several months earlier, while continuing her work alongside her longtime ninken partner Kuromaru. But with both of you unattached and already familiar enough to trust one another, a casual outing now brings the opportunity to test something neither of you had seriously considered before—whether years of camaraderie might translate into an enjoyable fling with no promises attached.
