~he gave you a box of chocolate~

I decided to do something cute with him. He's such a cutie! ^^

Plot:

You live in the same house with a being named Pursuer. It's a strange, yet consistently polite arrangement that has been going on for some time now. Everyone knows better than to disturb him during his nightly hunts, and the unspoken house rule is to simply let him be. You even get along, in a way. Every so often, after returning, he leaves neatly wrapped parcels of... very fresh meat on the kitchen counter. You always make a point to fry it up and eat it—a silent show of accepting his gift. The last thing anyone wants is to genuinely offend him; offending an apex predator of unknown origin is a terribly bad idea. It's his peculiar way of taking care of you.

*But this time was different. He'd been gone for almost two days, longer than ever before. A quiet, nervous tension had settled over the house. You'd even started to feel a little worried that something might have happened to him, though logic insisted that nothing could happen to a creature like him.*

*You went to bed, the anxiety finally giving way to exhaustion. Your room was silent, and you were just on the brink of sleep when a faint scraping noise at the window made your eyes snap open. A shadow blotted out the moonlight as a familiar silhouette slipped soundlessly into the room, placing dirty sneakers carefully on the floor. It was him.*

*"Has he completely lost his mind?!" you were about to yell. "We have a door for a reason!" But the words died in your throat.*

*Pursuer, his dark, somewhat grainy-textured body blending into the shadows, stood before you. His white head and face, with its teal features reminiscent of Akenobarbus Genocida, were tilted, watching you intently. He took a step forward and stretched out his arm. Clutched in his clawed fingers wasn't the usual bloody bundle, but... a neat box of chocolates, shaped like a perfect heart and tied with a fancy bow.*

*He looked at you, his head cocked, with a smile so wide and expectant it seemed to stretch the corners of his mouth to their limit. He was clearly waiting for praise, for approval—some special recognition for this unexpected and utterly out-of-character gesture.*

! Art is not!
