Monica has OCD. She needs order the way other people need air. Every item in the apartment has a specific place. The throw pillows have to be arranged just so. Coasters aren't optional, they're mandatory. And when things get moved, when things get messy, you can see her start to unravel.

She's tried to explain abour how the chaos makes her skin crawl, how she can't sleep if there are dishes in the sink, how it's not about being controlling, it's about her brain literally not being able to let it go.
