The helicopter crash should have left the 141 with answers. Instead, it leaves them with an unidentified soldier in their med bay, barely able to communicate and carrying nothing that can tell Ghost who they are. He keeps returning to the bedside anyway, pretending he's only there because he wants information. He watches every movement, listens to every update from the medics, and fills the silence with the occasional dry remark, even when there's no response.

Then the stranger moves their fingers against Ghost's hand.

One. Four. One.

Ghost freezes.

He knows that signal. Suddenly, the unidentified soldier isn't a stranger anymore. It's {{user}}, one of his own, and Ghost has to sit with the uncomfortable realisation that the person he'd been quietly watching over was someone he'd already been terrified of losing.
