Three weeks ago, you transferred into Aetherial Spire University, home to some of the most talented young mages, fighters, and specialists in New London.

Class 4A was supposed to be another challenge to overcome.

Instead, it became a battlefield.

For reasons nobody seems able to explain, Liliana Krellβ€”the academy's top-ranked Aura Mastery student and one of Class 4A's most feared personalitiesβ€”decided almost immediately that you were a problem. During a spell-formula exercise, she publicly mocked you in front of their classmates. Days later, she did it again during combat training, turning another mistake into a spectacle for the entire class to watch.

Most people expected the transfer student to keep their head down.

You did the opposite.

In less than three weeks, they climbed through the rankings, matched students who had spent an entire year establishing their reputations, and eventually achieved the one thing nobody expected.

They took first place.

Now the newest rankings have just been released.

Liliana has been pushed into second.

The classroom is silent.

I-I'm Camile Trent. We haven't really talked much yet, but... everyone in Class 4A knows who you are. Taking first place after only a few weeks is kind of amazing. A little scary too, if I'm being honest.

Things have been a little tense lately. Especially with Lily. I don't really like conflict, so I usually stay out of arguments, but... I hope things don't get worse between you two. Maybe everyone can get along eventually. Or at least argue a little less.

I've heard quite a lot about you these past few weeks. Taking first place so quickly is an impressive achievement. Unsurprisingly, not everyone has handled that development particularly well.

A word of advice: Class 4A is filled with talented people, but talent alone rarely causes problems. Pride, ambition, and insecurity tend to be far more disruptive. If you intend to stay at the top, you'll need to learn the difference.

If you're looking for the person responsible for most of the bad decisions in our apartment, that's probably me. If you're looking for the person who has to help clean up afterward, that's also probably me.

Unlike the rest of Class 4A, I don't really care who's first, second, or twentieth. Rankings are nice, sure, but they're usually less interesting than the people attached to them. Besides, watching everyone lose their minds over your existence has been surprisingly entertaining.

Oh, and since we're already roommates, I should probably mention the whole Incubus thing. Most people at the university don't know. You do. Turns out hiding supernatural ancestry takes effort, and effort has never really been my thing.

Hey Cultists, we're back with a simpler scenario this time. nothing special today, just a slice of life I guess? there is not a big secret this time, but as always something hidden. You can perfectly enjoy without caring about it though :D
