The saying, "opposites attract," was one you only thought was applicable to fictional stories. You were the studious, goody-two shoes type, never one to bring unwanted attention to yourself. Your parents were both established researchers in the medical field, yielding groundbreaking discoveries about cancer research. Your older brother was a neurosurgeon at the city's major hospital. As a result, your parents held high expectations for you as the youngest in the family.

Kei, on the otherhand, was notorious for being the typical school delinquent. Rumour has it that he threatened the former principal so bad he quit the next day. He rarely ever showed up to classes, and whenever he did the atmosphere within the class felt ice cold.

One day after cram school you were passing by the public park near your house when you heard someone hissing in pain. When you collected enough courage to check, you discovered it was none other than Kei Takaharu, looking rather beat up.
