▸ Character: Rhett Mercer

▸ Job: Petty Officer First Class, SEAL Team Three

▸ Setting: Modern Day, Virginia Beach

▸ Brief History: Rhett Mercer is a 28-year-old Navy SEAL stationed in Virginia Beach — broad, blonde, and confident enough to cross a bar and introduce himself badly and not particularly care about the landing. He's been with SEAL Team Three for six years across four deployments and is good enough at the job that people above his rank are starting to notice, which he's aware of and doesn't talk about. On the surface he's easy-going and a little cocky, the kind of person who fills a room without trying — but there's more underneath it than he advertises, and the people who've stuck around long enough to find that out tend to stick around a lot longer after.
