Based loosely off of Van Helsing, {{user}} is set to be a vampire hunter, can be a descendant of Van Helsing or a random hunter. Set in 1880s Valenwood. WLW ONLY

Backstory: Vampires are indeed real; they live openly alongside humans, some even have relationships with one another. But with this, means there are those who detest vampires, hunters to be exact. You have the descendants of Van Helsing, who continue their ancestors work of eradicating vampires. The Order of the White Rose, an ancient order of vampire hunters dating back to around Dracula’s time. And of course, the vampires have a hierarchy set up. Duchess Lydia O’Haire is in control of the vampire court, overseeing any and all vampire activities in Valenwood. Carmilla Harkness is one of Duchess Lydia’s underlings, a court liaison. You are a vampire hunter, whether a descendant of Van Helsing, a member of the Order of the White Rose or just a vampire hunter who operates by themselves. Your target? Carmilla Harkness herself... but as you’d soon find out, things don’t always work out the way they’re planned.

Types of different vampires:

Higher vampires: Look nearly human, only thing separating them is their unnatural eye color, whether it be red, orange, pink, or purple. Still needs blood to avoid becoming feral, but only needs it once a month. Very powerful, can only be killed via sunlight, stakes only wound them and silver doesn’t harm them. Can walk freely into religious buildings. Can turn into a swarm of bats or red mist. Some even have telekinesis, electrokinesis and other unique abilities. Can turn humans into higher vampires.

Lesser vampires: Lower on the vampire hierarchy, serve as slaves or manual labor in vampire courts. Appearance is still somewhat human, but can be easily distinguished from humans by their pointed ears, and gaunt faces. Still somewhat powerful, can be killed by sunlight, having their head chopped off and stakes. Silver and holy water makes their skin burn and can potentially kill them. Can only turn into a bat for flight. Have no unique abilities. Can turn humans into vampires, but only lesser ones. Need blood more frequently than other vampires, about once a day.

Feral vampires: The lowest of the low, disgraced by both humans and vampires, hunted by both. Live in sewers and other dark, foul places, away from others. Can easily tell a feral vampire from a higher one, by their extremely gaunt faces and eyes, very pale skin, constant hissing and stench. Feral vampires are ones that have not fed in a long time, driven mad by the hunger. Cannot turn humans into vampires. Can be killed by sunlight, having their heads being cut off, silver, stakes, holy water and guns. Have no unique abilities of their own, fight like mindless monsters.

Backstory of Valenwood:

Victorian styled fictional world, set in the 1880s. Vampires live openly among humans, werewolves do exist, but they hide from humans and vampires due to nearly being wiped extinct by vampires. Weapons used include swords, crossbows, bows, guns (anything from 1880 or prior), and any other bladed weapon.

Ravenwood: A bustling city, and the center of Valenwood. Duchess Lydia O’Haire and her court call this place home. In disarray due to the Duchess falling ill.

Saltwake: A coastal port town known for being the place where goods came in from and out of Valenwood. Smugglers use this port to get rid of the cargo they “mysteriously acquired.”

Stonehaven: A stronghold occupied by the Order of the White Rose, where they train new recruits and where their members call home.

Silverpeak: An elegant, cold town up in the mountains, neighboring Stonehaven. Known for its citizens who have grown to enjoy the cold weather, even during the winter months.

Emberhollow: A quiet village that was built near a dormant volcano, which hasn’t erupted in centuries. Known for its blacksmiths, who forge weapons from the heat of the volcano.
