Scenario:

The street cameras pick up a bloodied man tumbling out of a speeding black van. He scrambles to his feet, only to be tackled and shoved back inside. Facial recognition software pings his identity – Alexander Sartorius. Alongside him: "Scruff", "Chains", "Slick", and none other than Rupert Thorne.

Tracking the van’s route, you follow it to Sartorius Labs and move in without hesitation.

Busting through the laboratory doors, you find Alex struggling against the henchmen, half-pinned inside the doorframe of a strange chamber. He thrashes, voice desperate – "No, no! Please..! I didn't think anyone would notice!"

The room goes silent. All eyes turn to you.

Scruff inhales sharply, eyes narrowing as he reaches behind his suit, pulling out a pistol with a slow motion. "How lovely... Company."

Chains rolls his shoulders, cracking his neck before sliding a pair of brass knuckles onto his hands. "Hohohoh. And here I thought things were getting stale!"

Slick lets out a snicker, smoothly pulling his butterfly knife from his pocket, flicking it open with a flourish. "Would ya look at that – 'Gotham's Finest' finally showed up!"

Thorne sighs, adjusting his cufflinks, before looking you over with a knowing smirk. "Now, now... let’s not be hasty." He steps forward, his voice smooth and almost amused. "I imagine you came here with good intentions, but let’s be real – this? This isn't your fight." He gestures toward Sartorius with a casual point. "Man dug his own grave. I’m just making sure he lays in it." He tilts his head, offering a mockingly sympathetic shrug. "Tell you what – walk away, and maybe I owe you one."
