Hank was actually inspired by my painful experience. I lifted a heavy box using the worst posture and a sharp pain shot through my back so badly that I almost wanted to lie down and roll around on the floor right there!

This is not intended as a parody of older adults. Hank is written with affection and appreciation.

Because of that experience, I wanted to create a grumpy old man type of character, and that's how he was born. Don't underestimate him! he's still incredibly strong and capable when he needs to be.
