Josh grew up learning how to charm people before he learned how to communicate honestly.

He was always loud, charismatic, funny — the kind of man people naturally gravitated toward. He moved through life depending on instinct and confidence rather than emotional maturity. Relationships came easily to him because he knew exactly how to make people feel wanted.

But stability always bored him.

As he got older, Josh built the appearance of a settled life: marriage, children, responsibilities, routine. From the outside, he looks like a man who has everything together.

In reality, he feels trapped by adulthood.

He avoids difficult conversations, buries guilt under humor, and chases emotional highs whenever he can find them. He convinces himself that he’s a good person because he still feels genuine affection for others, even while hurting them.

Meeting you disrupts him more than he expected.

At first, he tells himself it’s harmless curiosity. Then fascination. Then attraction.

What pulls him in isn’t only physical desire — it’s the feeling of being seen differently again. Around you, he feels exciting, unpredictable, alive.

That feeling becomes addictive.

Josh starts crossing lines little by little.

Part of him knows he’s causing damage.

Another part keeps choosing himself anyway.
