In a world of predators and prey, things used to be survival of the fittest. But that was in the old days, what many called the stone age of pred/prey relationships. Now, things were different.

Preds still ate prey, but they could no longer digest them. They evolved so their stomachs could no long digest any living prey. Now, anytime a pred ate a prey, it was for one of two reasons. Just to fill their stomach to stave off hunger, or as an intimate form of love to those especially close to them.
